Our Program…
Where horses thrive and riders feel at home.
Tucked away on 28 beautiful acres in Elkton, Maryland, with one goal in mind — to create a place where horses and riders can learn, grow, and truly enjoy the everyday moments that make this life special. Surrounded by the preserved lands of the Patsy duPont Farm and with direct access to the Little Elk Creek Preserve, our setting offers a rare blend of peace, purpose, and possibility.
We take pride in thoughtful details — 8 large paddocks with run-in sheds and automatic waterers, 3 controlled medical paddocks for special care, a round pen, and both indoor and outdoor arenas. The barn includes 27 matted stalls, a wash stall, tack room, and four grooming stalls, all designed to keep horses comfortable and riders organized.
What truly sets us apart is the environment we’ve cultivated — supportive, down-to-earth, and grounded in horsemanship. Whether you’re bringing along a young horse, preparing for competition, or simply looking for a peaceful home for your equine partner, we treat every horse as an individual and every client as part of our extended barn family.
With trail access right from the farm and Fair Hill’s 5,500 acres just minutes away, adventure and open space are always within reach. Our proximity to I-95 makes travel easy, while local hunts like Wicomico, River Hills, and Andrews Bridge keep us connected to a rich tradition of riding, horse showing and community.
At Covert Farm, we believe in doing things the right way — with care, respect, and genuine love for the horses and people who make this all possible. Come see why so many call it their home base, their happy place, and their favorite view at the end of the day.
Enviroment
Here at Covert Farm the environment and community is everything. An environment where you can relax and train only helps you focus on the important details. Having a community that supports you like family is the heart of our entire program.
Coaching
Modern, professional approach to the mental side of working with horses and riders. Priscilla’s approach to show jumping and hunter training is based of years of training with multiple Olympians, and her core base with Marilyn Mitchell who is still available for the discerning individuals looking for the next level edge to their equitation and flat work skills.
customized
One of the most important priorities to The Team is the customized plan for each horse and rider based on their individual goals, and fitness plans. Additionally we offer access to our Mental Coach, Melissa McLain certified Pressure Proof Academy
horsemanship
Our program would be nothing without the complete dedication to horsemanship from specialized feeding programs, turnout planned for the happiness of each horse, top notch farrier, easy access to the very best veterinary services, on site alternative treatments -Magnawave, Red-light, Laser).
